About Us: Immanuel and Trinity Lutheran Churches in Golden, IL have joined together to help children and families within our congregations grow in faith together, and bring the love of Jesus to children within our community. After many years of discussion, these two ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) congregations have made ministering and reaching out to the children a top priority. In July 2009, Jennie Van De Velde was hired part-time as Coordinator of Children & Family Ministry. Jennie, along with the support of the Mutual Ministry Committee, and both Church Councils and congregations, hopes to meet the needs of children and families in the Golden community, with a balance of social activities, spiritual growth opportunities, service projects, and lots of fun!

Puppet Ministry After taking a break for the holidays, our Puppet Posse is back in full swing! We meet on Monday afternoons, 3-4:30, and are beginning to work on Living on Sonshine for the Lip Sync on March 13. We will also be offering an Easter-themed skit at Kids Club on Tuesday, April 3, and one during worship at both Trinity and Immanuel this spring. If you have never checked out our puppet ministry, please feel free to drop in one of these Mondays to see if it is for you! We always welcome new members! |

Fourteen youth had a great weekend at the Youth Quake, learning about being rooted in Christ from speaker Dan Scharnhorst and Christian rapper Agape, attending break-out sessions to learn more about living out their faith in daily life, and making new friends! |
